Rehabilitation That Creates Value — The Project That Marked the Beginning of Home Out

This was one of the very first renovation challenges we embraced — back in 2015, when we were still discovering the market, refining our processes and shaping what Home Out was going to become.
We found a spacious apartment of around 220 m², but in a very poor state: damaged woodwork, outdated installations and many years of abandonment.

 

What once seemed lost was transformed into an opportunity — and to this day, the result continues to generate solid returns.

Smart Rehabilitation: Modern Comfort Without Losing Identity

From the very beginning, the goal was clear: to modernise the space for functional use, without stripping it of its original character.

To ensure durability and comfort, we replaced all essential infrastructures — water, drainage, gas, electricity, telecommunications and climate control.

At the same time, we preserved the elements that gave the property its soul:

• original stucco and plaster ceilings
• solid wood skirting boards and flooring
• high ceilings and classic architectural features

A perfect balance between past and present.

This allows the apartment to be rented in multiple ways — by individual rooms or as a full unit — adapting effortlessly to market demand. A versatile, intelligent and highly profitable solution that quickly proved its worth.
